Derby City North PCN are currently recruiting a number of Paramedics to assist the GP teams at the Practices.
Paramedics are developing an increasing set of diverse skillsets, with their roles developing particularly in primary care settings.
Working within the community, paramedics can perform specialist health checks and reviews for patients with acute and urgent needs and deliver emergency care.
Here are just some of the benefits of having paramedics within our PCN:
Reduced waiting times
Greater access to home visits
Better access to advice on general healthcare and self-management for patients
Alternative to visiting A&E
Diversified workforce - paramedics often train other staff with important skills such as how to react in emergency circumstances
